Hunter is going to be an athlete. We are not sure what he will play as he brought his own hockey stick to the house, played baseball, football and threw sticks in the lake. After watching his last video destroying a punching bag I think he will make a solid D-man.

Doug held the workout named 'Murph' at HYPERFITUSA in Ann Arbor on Memorial Day. The name is in honor or a soldier named Murphy who sacraficed his life in battle. This was his favorite workout. 1 mile run-100 pull ups-200 push ups-300 squats-1 mile run. Being involved with 60 'friends' working out, cheering each other on including two firefighters wearing their equipment was very impressive. Great job by the DChap.
These two were very impressive finishing 'Murph' with their equipment on.

The workout today consisted of a longer than usual warm up and more skill work. We worked on kettlebell techniques. The WOD consisted of double kettlebell cleans. It was short and intense. The groups did a great job using 16 kg/20 kg kettlebells. After the WOD we finished up with some strength building.

Jennifer joined us again from Petranek Fitness. Mary popped in from HyperfitUSA. Mary demonstrated some handstands against the wall which we will have to put into a future workout. Jed tried to point out some cheating on the Abmat done by Joe but I couldn't see it. We will keep an eye on it.

The Memorial Day workout will be held at Hyperfit in Ann Arbor at 9:30 a.m. We will be doing 'Murph'.

Jennifer visited us from Petranek Fitness-Cross Fit-L.A. That is the cool thing about CrossFit-you can go across the U.S. and visit an affiliate for a good workout. She did the prescribed weight for the squat cleans at 65 lbs and unassisted pull ups for the workout. Great job!

Congratulation to Brendon McLeskey for getting drafted to the Plymouth Whalers. The Whalers play in the OHL and is a top level league for 16 - 20 year old hockey players. Brendon is a hard working kid and will do fine with the Whalers.

Andrew Hanna


I want to thank you for your help in Andrew's development as a hockey player and young man.
I would also like to share with you his coach's comments at the end of our season.

The coach stated he has not seen a player improve in strength, speed, and overall confidence during all his years of coaching. He also stated Andrew was his most improved player and that Andrew's hard work with hyper-fit has really been outstanding.
