People at STX constantly impress us by their increased fitness levels. They walk in, check the whiteboard and get to work. Their results are evident as their times decrease and their weights increase. More importantly they realize the benefits as they walk through their daily activities.

When we look at the people that are successful inside of our, box we notice some interesting trends. First, they get it done. Second, they clearly have goals for their fitness and know what those goals are. Third, they lead an active lifestyle.

Successful athletes get it done. You can see them push themselves to their limit. You can see when they want to let go on pull-ups but they get one more rep. You can recognize when their mind is unsure if the body can withstand another 10 seconds at the bottom of the squat but they overcome the mind and create the result.

We know they set goals and they know what the goals are. It is not unusual for the successful athlete at STICKS to come to a trainer and say "I finally did a workout at prescribed weight" or "I got my first pull-up today" or, "I PR'ed my FRAN time". They have a vision for what they will accomplish, they know what they want out of their fitness and work a plan to achieve the goal.

Finally, we know that our successful athletes lead active lives. From the outside looking in, it appears that their STICKS training is in place so they can go out and enjoy the world they live in, they can get the most out of the activities that bring a sense of wellness, balance and life to their daily routine.

Now for the secret. Not everyone that is a "stud" in the box has always been that way. Their background stories are vastly different and their health history are not all stellar. The difference between the successful and those that come in, spin their wheels, don't come consistently, quit and renew only to quit again is DECIDING. You can be successful at STICKS, you can live as a fit, active person that is happy with your fitness level and healthy lifestyle, just decide that this is you. Once you decide, set a goal, ask how to accomplish it, look to the trainers for support when you need it, and go for it. You will be glad you did.
