Ralph has been an active yoga instructor in Brighton for two years. His preferred style is Ashtanga, which has been called power or strength yoga due to its repetitive nature and the fact that we hold our postures (asanas) for 4 or 5 breaths. Ralph could be considered a "posture specialist" because he places a lot of importance on being in the correct alignment during the practice. He has been a student of yoga for many years. An active student of Ashtanga for almost 10. We will also be doing Yin and Vinyasa.

He and his wife Shirley moved to Brighton from Plymouth in 1984. They have four children all grown. (they act grown up most of the time) He has been an active coach on the Brighton Eels Swim Team for 6 years, and enjoys teaching the kids. He is an avid mountain biker and has competed in the Xterra Triathlon events locally. A dedicated runner for 25 years he completed the Boston Marathon four times, with 24 life time marathons. He has competed in 18 triathlons, with the long course being his favorite. He is on staff at the Brighton High School as a lifeguard and has taught a masters swim program there. Ralph retired in 2000.

HOWEVER: No matter what level you are at in your Cross Fit Training there is a place for you in the yoga classes. Each asana has several modifications. Just come and enyoy!
