Doug held the workout named 'Murph' at HYPERFITUSA in Ann Arbor on Memorial Day. The name is in honor or a soldier named Murphy who sacraficed his life in battle. This was his favorite workout. 1 mile run-100 pull ups-200 push ups-300 squats-1 mile run. Being involved with 60 'friends' working out, cheering each other on including two firefighters wearing their equipment was very impressive. Great job by the DChap.

The workout today consisted of a longer than usual warm up and more skill work. We worked on kettlebell techniques. The WOD consisted of double kettlebell cleans. It was short and intense. The groups did a great job using 16 kg/20 kg kettlebells. After the WOD we finished up with some strength building.
Jennifer joined us again from Petranek Fitness. Mary popped in from HyperfitUSA. Mary demonstrated some handstands against the wall which we will have to put into a future workout. Jed tried to point out some cheating on the Abmat done by Joe but I couldn't see it. We will keep an eye on it.
The Memorial Day workout will be held at Hyperfit in Ann Arbor at 9:30 a.m. We will be doing 'Murph'.

WEDNESDAY
Jennifer visited us from Petranek Fitness-Cross Fit-L.A. That is the cool thing about CrossFit-you can go across the U.S. and visit an affiliate for a good workout. She did the prescribed weight for the squat cleans at 65 lbs and unassisted pull ups for the workout. Great job!
